My trip to Chicago, day 1: Chicago’s 1# museum
Have you ever felt like a painting was talking to you, telling it’s own story?
The Art Institute is known as Chicago’s 1# museum and has a variety of different and unique paintings.
Today, you may see odd and beautiful paintings, sculptures, and whatever that is,
I hope you find this blog interesting.
Day 1:
Art Institute of Chicago Most of the art pieces were in the Renaissance period, {14th-17th centuries.} Some of the widely known paintings, including:
1. A Sunday Afternoon On The Island Of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat
2. The Old Guitarist by Pablo Picasso
3. The Bedroom by Vincent van Gogh
And a self portrait of Vincent van Gogh
I liked A Sunday Afternoon On The Island Of La Grande Jatte because it was made of dots, a painting of dots. I had never seen a giant painting made of dots before, talk about first experiences!
I also like The Old Guitarist because of the use of blue paints. He must have been really sad, ‘cause, I have need seen such a blue painting.
I enjoyed the bedroom and the self portrait too.
We left early because the modern art confused us. Why? Well, while I was in the “Modern” section, me and my sister found a black canvas. We just stared at it for a some time, then my sister blurted out, “I could do that,” and I said back “So could I.” After a look around, we started laughing. “Oh, look over there, it a sculpture of a light switch!” So, if your still wondering why I left, well, there’s the answer.
